Mountain Bike Team? Tell me more.
GCA mountain biking is cross country style, not the high-risk, X-Games type riding often seen on TV. We use the same trails that middle and high school cross country teams run on. Mountain biking does have risks, but no more than any other sport and risk management is at the core of GCA philosophy. All practices, races and team events are fully insured. Student athletes must attend North Hall HS/MS from 6th grade through 12th grade

Preseason Practices:
6 Practices – time and date to be determined
Regular Season: July 1 – October 31
Regular Season Practices:
Tuesday & Thursday: 6:00pm – 8:00pm
Sunday: 2:30pm – 5:00pm
Practice Locations:
Cool Springs, Chicopee and Road Atlanta
All riders are expected to attend an average of two practices per week.

What about races? Do I have to race?
We try to be accommodating to kids participating in other sports or activities. Georgia Cycling Association's race series consists of 4 races for everyone as well as the State Championships. The 4 conference races typically occur two weeks apart on weekends beginning in September. Races are at different venues. Please visit Georgiacycling.org for the complete schedule and more information. You do NOT have to race.
What does it cost?
6-12 grade student athletes: $495 Total ($215 enrollment fee, *$225 registration for the race series, $55 team jersey.)
* If you do not wish to Race, subtract the Race registration fee and, optionally, the Team Jersey fee. You can also pay for individual races (additional fees apply) if you prefer.
* There is an early bird discount on the race series package if you register early.
* Scholarships are available through GCA.
